Who Runs This Site

Temecula Solar Savings (temeculasolarsavings.com) is run by Adrian Marin, a solar advisor based at 27349 Jefferson Ave Suite 200, Temecula, CA 92590. Temecula Solar Savings is the name of this website, not a separate company.

Adrian isn't a solar installer and doesn't hold a contractor license. He reviews your home and your utility bill, then connects you with a qualified, CSLB-licensed installer who designs, installs, and owns or finances the actual system. When you use this site, you're working with Adrian as your advisor, not with a contractor.

How Adrian is paid

This service is free to you. Adrian works as an independent contractor for Legacy Power, a solar installer. When a homeowner Adrian refers signs with Legacy Power and has a system installed, Legacy Power pays Adrian a commission. You never pay Adrian directly. Adrian is registered with the Contractors State License Board as a Home Improvement Salesperson for Legacy Power.

What This Site Does

The calculator on this site gives you a free, personalized estimate of what a solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) could save you on your Southern California Edison (SCE) bill. After you submit your information, Adrian reviews it and, if it looks like a good fit, connects you with a vetted installer partner who prepares a formal proposal.

Estimates Are Estimates

Every number the calculator shows you, savings, system size, payback, and incentive figures, is an illustrative projection, not a quote or a guarantee. It is based on your stated monthly bill, current SCE rates, historical rate trends, and standard PPA terms. Your actual savings depend on your system size, your roof, your usage, your NEM tariff, and future utility rates, which nobody can predict with certainty. You need a site assessment and a personalized proposal from your installer for real numbers.

If your installer offers a production guarantee, that guarantee comes from them, in your signed contract, not from this website.

The Federal Tax Credit

The 30% homeowner purchase credit (Section 25D) is unavailable for any expenditure made after December 31, 2025, and the IRS counts the expenditure as made when installation is complete, not when you pay. If you buy a system outright, cash or loan, and installation finishes after that date, that credit is gone. (Source: IRS FAQ on the One Big Beautiful Bill Act, FS-2025-05, Aug. 21, 2025.)

If you go with a PPA or lease instead, that credit was never yours to claim either way, you never own the system, so Section 25D never applied to you. Instead, your installer (as the system owner) may claim a separate business credit, Section 48E, and can choose to price some of that benefit into your rate. Under the 2025 federal tax law, wind and solar projects generally lose Section 48E if they are placed in service after 2027 and began construction after July 4, 2026, a date that has already passed. (Source: IRS Form 3468 instructions.) This is a rule about your installer's tax position, not a deadline for you to act by.

The underlying “beginning of construction” test behind that July 4, 2026 date was itself in federal court: a district court vacated the IRS's prior guidance on it (Notice 2025-42) in June 2026, restoring a prior safe-harbor rule for wind projects and solar projects above 1.5 MW - a size well beyond a typical home system, so this specific ruling may not directly touch a residential rooftop PPA. Legal counsel covering the ruling has said publicly that the government is expected to appeal and the IRS could issue new guidance. In other words, exactly how any of this applies to any given project, residential or otherwise, was still unsettled as of that ruling. We are not a party to your installer's tax position and don't verify it, ask your installer directly how current law affects the pricing they've quoted you.

This is general information, not tax advice, and reflects our understanding of primary sources as of September 25, 2026. Tax law in this area has changed more than once in the past year and may change again. Talk to a tax professional about your own situation before relying on any of it.

Your Installer Sets the Final Terms

This site gives you a starting estimate. Whether you qualify for a PPA, whether an installer approves your home, and what you'll actually save are decided in your conversation and contract with the installer, not on this page.

How We Use Your Contact Information

When you submit the calculator, we collect your name, email, phone number, address, and monthly bill amount, and, if you check the box, your consent to receive text messages. We use this to prepare your estimate, follow up with you by email and (if you opted in) by text, and, if you are a fit, introduce you to an installer partner. Full detail on what we collect, how we use it, and who we share it with is in our Privacy Policy.

Text and Email

If you check the SMS box, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing text messages from Adrian Marin about your solar estimate and options. Consent to receive texts is never required to use this site or to get your estimate. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help.

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time by clicking it.

Other Websites and Services

This site links to and works with a few outside services: your installer partner's own site and contract, Cal.com for scheduling calls, and your utility's own website for rate information. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, availability, or how they handle your data once you're on them. Read their own terms and privacy policies before you use them.

Limits on Our Responsibility

This site and the estimates it produces come as is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, Adrian Marin is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages from your use of this site or reliance on its estimates. Nothing here limits any warranty your installer gives you directly in your signed contract with them.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
